One of the most anticipated events of the traditional Lunar New Year celebrations, the Dragon Dance wards off evil spirits and welcomes good fortune. Join the Hong De Dragon and Lion Dance Association for a traditional dragon dance, complete with drummers and firecrackers.
On Saturday 21 February, the dance will leave the corner of Queen and Victoria Streets at 1pm, and on Wednesday 25 February it's the same departure point but at 7pm.
You can walk to Queen Victoria Market from either Melbourne Central or Flagstaff train stations. On the tram, catch numbers 19, 57 and 59 to stop 7, or the 55 to stop 9. You can also catch the Melbourne Visitor Shuttle bus.
