Springvale Lunar New Year Festival is back for 2015 and this year, as we celebrate the Year of the Goat, it promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
During its proud 23-year history, Springvale's Lunar New Year celebrations have grown to become the largest public event in the City of Greater Dandenong, attracting more than 80,000 people from across Melbourne each year.
With more than 50 multicultural street food vendors, dozens of variety market stalls, large-scale carnival rides, sideshow amusements and on-stage performances, Springvale Lunar New Year Festival offers fantastic family entertainment.
The festival showcases Asian culture and traditions and, more importantly, the multicultural tapestry that is Greater Dandenong. It also encourages families and new migrants to participate in social and cultural activities and promotes harmony within the community and society as a whole.
Springvale Lunar New Year Festival is produced in partnership with Greater Dandenong Council and the Springvale Asian Business Association.
