Each year, more than 10,000 people from Maribyrnong and its surrounding suburbs head to the Quang Minh Temple for the Quang Minh Tet Festival. Featuring cultural performances, chanting and amazing vegetarian food, this is the local celebration of Lunar New Year, one of most significant cultural and spiritual events for Vietnamese and Chinese communities around the world.
The Quang Minh Tet Festival aims to bring everyone from the surrounding communities together to explore and experience the beauty and richness of both the Lunar New Year and traditional Buddhist celebrations. As a spiritual centre, the Quang Minh Temple seeks to provide hope and inspiration for all, as well as offer an important space for community members to come together to pay respect to their ancestors.
