Watch the Ring-tailed Lemurs move in groups in their Lemur Island home, take the monkey tree top walk and discover how the personalities of our monkeys are the same as people born in the year of the monkey. New signage and maps in English and simplified Chinese will onsite for our visitors.
Meet our keepers during the primate keeper talks or book in for our brand new Year of the Monkey experience. Visit the Baboons each day at 11:00am, Mandrills at 11:45am, Orang-utans at 12pm and the Gorillas at 12:30pm to hear about our animals from the people who know them best – their keepers.
Book the brand new Year of the Monkey experience to have your chance to enter our Squirrel Monkeys exhibit and meet them up close! You will receive a photo of yourself and your new monkey friends plus your very own plush toy monkey to take home.
See the gorgeous display of lanterns and make a wish for prosperity for 2016 by hanging a Lunar New Year decoration on a wishing tree at the Zoo.
Then, refuel with traditional dumplings and a Chinese beer.
Remember, kids under 16 are free every weekend, Victorian Government school holidays and public holidays!
